Life Lately: 'Making It' in Miami
A few weeks ago, I flew to Miami to speak at Making It, a conference for women in creative industries.
It was amazing to say the least, and I had a blast exploring Miami. For the 40 hours I was there, I crammed in a lot of sight-seeing, shopping, hanging with locals, and chatting with women from myriad fields at the conference which maxed out at 70 attendees. I didn't shoot nearly as many photos as I would have liked (I took NONE at the actual conference, which is a testament to how busy I was talking to real people instead, which is a great reason to not take photos). But those I did snap, I'm sharing today. Have a gander (oh, and look out for a post soon with a video of the actual talk I gave)!Hilariously, this is the only photo I have from someone who shot it while I was speaking.

Yardbird (in South Beach), where I lunched with Heather Cook, the awesome events coordinator at The Wolfsonian, and Rachael DuPauw. We had our fill of fried chicken and watermelon salad.
