Cold Matcha Boba at Home

This is my go-to cold matcha boba.

Not just for the taste, but the process is kind of fun!

The Method (The Layers are Important)

Most people throw everything into a glass and call it a day, but the assembly order matters.

1. Boba first
Add your cooked tapioca pearls to the bottom of your glass.

2. Sweetener
Pour your iced tea powder or maple syrup or honey directly over the boba so it coats them.

3. Jelly (optional)
Add coconut lychee jelly here — keeping all the texture in one place.

4. Ice (lightly)
Add just enough ice to chill the drink without blocking your straw.

5. Milk
Pour slowly to create that clean, minimal base.

6. Matcha last
Whisk your matcha with warm water until smooth, then pour overtop.
