A Little ABOUT Me
After a whirlwind of accolades, accomplishments, and inauthenticity left me burnt out and diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder at 25, I pulled the plug on my fast-paced life. I became a certified Breathwork and Yoga teacher and slowly turned my health and happiness around naturally. Now, I’m on a mission to help others become their favorite selves through my 1:1 coaching, Yoga & Breathwork classes, and wellness podcast, Every Seven Years.

My JOURNEY in a Nutshell
Sabrina grew up as a curious child, fascinated by nature, art, and the human body. She loved drawing portraits and writing stories, and it wasn’t uncommon to find her up a tree, reading about dreaming or Traditional Chinese Medicine. However, as a young girl in the 90s, the media she was exposed to didn’t provide a healthy guide to caring for her body. When her body began changing at 13 and she developed acne, she also developed an eating disorder that would last 18 years.
Functioning with anorexia, Sabrina channeled her obsession with the body into a passion for art, portraiture, and life drawing, as well as Yoga. This practice became her solace — one of the few times she felt comfortable with the passage of time. From 2008 until 2012, she studied Illustration at Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning.
After graduating with her BAA with Honours, Sabrina spent the years from 2012 to 2016 working in a variety of creative roles in advertising, tech, and publishing. She illustrated for prestigious publications like The New York Times, created social content for Maynards as an Art Director, and designed for Mozilla and MoneySense Magazine. During this time, Sabrina was also invited to teach illustration and visual design at Sheridan, and she spoke at various creative and entrepreneurial events across North America, including BlogPodium, InfluenceTHIS, and MakingItMiami.
In 2015, Sabrina began blogging independently and as an Editor for Design*Sponge, where she had the opportunity to interview notable figures such as Genevieve Gorder, Adam JK, Julia Marcum, Colin & Justin, and more. On her own blog, she documented her DIY adventures while renovating her first home, which eventually led to a guest appearance on W’s Game of Homes. This experience culminated in co-hosting her own HGTV show, Save My Reno. During this time, Sabrina also started making guest appearances on Cityline.
Sabrina appeared to be living the dream, thriving in her career, and accumulating accolades left and right. But beneath the surface, she was burnt out, unfulfilled, and unhappy in her relationship. She began to question, “Perhaps this dream I’m living isn’t my own...” Despite seemingly “having it all,” Sabrina felt a deep sense of loss within herself, which ultimately led to adrenal fatigue and a diagnosis of Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis in 2016.
That wake-up call set me on a transformative journey, beginning with the end of my relationship and a deep dive into one I had yet to explore: my relationship with myself. Unsure of where to start, I embarked on a solo wellness trip to Bali, Indonesia. There, amidst a group of 11 strangers, I rediscovered Yoga and immersed myself in an Ayurvedic lifestyle, marking the beginning of a profound personal transformation.
This 14-day retreat transformed my mind into a sanctuary of calm and my body into a reliable guide, helping me tune into my true needs and feelings. It offered the deep connection I had been missing amidst years of people-pleasing, codependency, and overworking in an attempt to validate my worth.
Returning to filming her HGTV show, Sabrina felt an invigorating energy she couldn’t quite describe. Driven by this newfound clarity, she booked a two-month solo trip to Thailand to immerse herself in Yoga and Breathwork. It became evident that the lifestyle she had been living no longer aligned with her evolving values. After completing her Yoga Teacher Training, Sabrina made the bold decision to leave behind her role and her home. In the summer of 2018, after falling in love, she sold her house, packed up her pup and her partner, and embarked on a journey across the country to Squamish, BC. There, she began a new chapter of her life as a yoga teacher, embracing a fresh start and a new path.
In the years that followed, Sabrina transformed her health through extensive study, training, and a commitment to a holistic approach. Surrounded by the serene pines and flowing rivers, she discovered both inner peace and a deepened connection to the natural world. Her fascination with nature blossomed, and alongside her teaching and occasional creative roles—including guest appearances on Cityline—she pursued studies in Astronomy with Outlier, delved into Herbalism, and expanded her knowledge of vibrational healing.
With her newfound understanding of how plants and essential oils can harmonize with and heal the human body, Sabrina recognized the toxicity of many conventional personal care products she had been using. Motivated by this realization, she embarked on creating her own line of natural healing products. And in 2020, Heelr was born.
From 2021 to the present, Sabrina has continued to teach Yoga and Breathwork, both online and in-person. She now offers personalized 1:1 coaching to help individuals reclaim their radiance. Through her podcast, Every Seven Years, Sabrina shares weekly insights into her wellness journey, aiming to support listeners in healing and evolving into their truest, healthiest selves.
